I've never been a huge cheerleader of albums--not because I don't value them but because I'm a photographer and not an album maker... I could talk photography all day long. :) Truth be told, I'm not very crafty--I could never imagine myself scrap-booking (disaster), I find decorating a challenge, cooking rarely happens...but every time I see a Cypress Handmade Album, my jaw drops. Drop dead gorgeous. Worth every penny and them some. Here's my latest studio sample of Elizabeth and Eric's green wedding at the Headlands Center for the Arts. I'm in love all over again.

Elizabeth & Eric's beautiful wedding was passionately crafted to be as sustainable and organic as possible (nearly 100%!). They sought out local, seasonal, organic flowers; an organic and fair-trade baker for their cake; and re-purposed many items found on the web. The results were gorgeous, timeless, personal and beautifully rustic. After a sweeping hike to the beach--nearly one mile--for their ceremony, we returned to the Headlands Center for the Arts --the perfect venue for the reception. Seeing Elizabeth hike through the hillside in her beautiful wedding dress was epic. There were so many visuals and tender moments that took my breath away; this wedding had soul.
Elizabeth and Eric inspired me so much that I decided to launch bee green weddings. Cheers to the lovely couple and eco weddings!

First of all, I absolutely love this idea. Secondly, the blog post itself is incredible. Encouraging sustainability at a wedding is the perfect metaphor for the enduring spirit of the love being expressed. A love that can only last as long as our troubled planet can continue to provide the abundance needed for life to flourish. This is a beautiful blend of life's most important values.

That was quiet a hike they did to the ceremony! The most beautiful processional I've ever see!
