Jane & Tameez and twenty-eight guests headed to the Yucatan for a drop dead gorgeous, never-seen-anything-like-this, amazing wedding. Seriously jaw-dropping. Mayan history to beat the band. Campeche was our destination and it is a town that has soul, rich history, beautiful architecture and incredible people. (I can't wait to go back.) Jane & Tameez fell in love in Campeche when they took a road trip as friends and finally shared this very special place with their family & friends. It will be a weekend none of us will ever forget: great food, Fetch the Bride, Indian marriage rituals, beautiful music and ruins that knocked our socks off. Jane & Tameez: you are one in a million. Thank you for bringing me to this wonderful nook of the world.
A note about the venues: This neck of the woods is the home to a very special family of hotels: The Haciendas. Not only are they exquisite, they have untouched history, a conscious & serious heart. They are committed to sustainability, social & environmental welfare and draw 98% of their personnel from the surrounding region. They make a special effort to empower Maya women, provide education outreach, preventive medical centers and upgrades to local schools. I can't sing their praises enough. Go there.

These photos are absolutely stunning -- and SO unique. I've wanted to visit Yucatan for quite a while now and these pictures completely reinforced that! I featured this post on my own blog (www.WedInMexico.org), and I must say I had a difficult time choosing what pictures to include! Please take a look! I'm also on Twitter @WedInMexico. Thanks!

Jane & Tameez stopped by my studio for a quick mini session before we head out to Mexico for their wedding next month. We hadn't seen each other in over a year so it was great to catch up and be among their laughter and cuteness. I'm pumped for their wedding at Haciendas Uayamon; check out the open air stone chapel!
